PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Female Thread both ends (Note: this is a very large valve). Used in conjunction with 3" pipe and hose fittings.

3" / 76mm female (internal) BSP thread at both ends. 

This is a "Comer" PVC double union ball valve with two union ends so that the valve can be demounted from a pipeline / hose fitting for refurbishment, cleaning or repair. These valves are described as "economy" meaning they are batch tested 1 in 1000. 

The handle has been specifically designed as a teardrop shape in order to provide a secure grip.

These ball valves have a locking end which enables you to adjust the torque on the ball in the valve, depending on the water pressure. Before assembly you should always check the locking end and tighten if necessary; if it's too loose, the valve will leak. The handle of the valve can be removed and used as a spanner to tighten the locking end: remove the end cuff and the underside of the handle locates into slots to give better tightening purchase.
