Portable Toilet Hand Pump | Whale Gusher Urchin

Whale® Gusher Urchin hand-operated flush pump with 1" inlet and outlet ports (straight outlet, 90° angled inlet). Recognise this pump by the light blue clamping ring around the pump body.

This pump is typically used to provide the flushing action in recirculating flush (no mains) portable toilets. Whale® Part ND9017B.

The complete "underdeck" pump includes:
- "nitrile" rubber* diaphragm, inlet and outlet valves
- a mounting deckplate for the toilet tank lid
- fixing screws to hold the pump to the deckplate
- a rivet to affix the handle to the pump
- and a rubber gaiter to seal "through deck" around the handle. 

* Nitrile rubber is used for increased performance with the chemical additives used in portable toilets

Please note: a version of this pump is also used in marine / boating applications. In such applications, the diaphragm and inlet and outlet valves are made from "neoprene" rubber, more suited to the UV and weathering exposure they will experience in those applications. We recommend searching for a suitable chandler's merchant for neoprene diaphragms. This site only offers "nitrile" rubber diaphragms.
