Secondary, syphon "shut-off" valve complete with brass hose couplings at. Green plastic body, clear plastic bowl, o-ring and floating ball.
Maximum working pressure 3 bar (45 psi)
Working temperature -15°C to =60°C
This secondary, "cut-off" syphon valve is so-called because it acts as secondary overfill protection for the vacuum pump. The vacuum pump operates by moving air, not liquid, so the secondary valve is positioned between the vacuum pump and the vacuum tank. There are two pre-set mounting holes on the (green) valve body to facilitate fixing.
Without a cut-off valve in place, as the vacuum tank reaches its maximum fill capacity (when in filling mode) the operator might inadvertently pull excess liquid into the vacuum pump.
If liquid is pulled into the secondary valve it will start to fill the clear plastic bowl. As it does so, the integral floating ball will rise with that liquid and will eventually create a seal within the valve to prevent the vacuum pump from becoming damaged from overfilling.
Replacement parts include clear plastic bowl, o-ring and floating ball. Clear plastic bowl twists off in a bayonet type action.
